Install JipJip on Android
Five short steps. There is no sign-up and no payment inside the app — you use a JipJip account you were given or set up on our website.
Before you start
- A 64-bit Android phone on Android 6.0 or newer (most phones from ~2016 on).
- About 60 MB free space.
- Your JipJip email and password.
1. Download the app
- Get JipJip-VPN-Alpha-v9.apk from the official link: download.
- Verify the file’s SHA-256 matches the published value for build 9:
f6ad429a6178eece7906b99967903f4df6595119c43b74d8ca56400c1545fe6b
A match confirms the app is genuine and untampered.
2. Allow installing the app
- When you open the APK, Android may say installs from this source are blocked.
- Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source for your browser or file manager, then go back.
- This is normal for apps installed outside Google Play.
3. Install
- Tap Install, then Open.
- If it says an older JipJip is already installed and won’t update, uninstall the old JipJip first, then install again. (An older “Myanmar VPN” app is separate and doesn’t need removing.)
4. Allow the VPN permission
- Open JipJip. The first time you tap Connect, Android asks “Allow JipJip VPN to set up a VPN connection?” — tap Allow.
- Allow the notification too, so you can see the connection status.
5. Sign in & connect
- Go to the Account tab → enter your JipJip email + password → Sign in.
- On Home, a node (“JipJip Fast”) is selected automatically under Auto Recommended; tap Connect and wait for Connected.
- Open any website to confirm it works.
- To stop, tap Disconnect — your normal internet returns right away.
Troubleshooting
- “Your network may be blocking secure connections” — that’s your mobile network at that moment, not the app. Switch to Wi-Fi or another SIM and try again.
- Connect is greyed out — the app shows the reason (sign in / loading / no node). Follow what it says, or tap Refresh nodes.
- Internet doesn’t come back after Disconnect — reopen the app and Disconnect again, or toggle the connection; then contact support.
- Open Diagnostics and take a screenshot (it’s a safe summary with no personal info) and send it to support with a short description.
Supported devices
- Works: 64-bit Android phones on Android 6.0 or newer.
- Not yet: Android 5.1 or older; 32-bit-only phones (the app installs but can’t connect — it needs a 64-bit processor).
- No iOS yet.
“App not installed”
- Phone too old (below Android 6.0) — not installable; use a newer phone.
- An old, differently-signed JipJip is installed — uninstall it first, then install.
- Download was incomplete — re-download and check the SHA-256 above.
- Not enough space — free ~60 MB and retry.
- If it still fails, email support your phone model + Android version and a screenshot — never your password.
An install problem is a device/compatibility issue, not a VPN failure. Please send your phone model and Android version so we can help.
